Upcoming Events at HPL






Intro to Computers 10:30 am, Saturday, August 29:

6:00 pm, Tuesday, September 1
Astronomy for Everyone: Size & Scale of the Universe is an exciting family program for ages 8 to 100 about the universe from the very small to the very large that lasts approximately 1 ½ hours. The program starts off with a powerpoint presentation that includes exciting video footage. Following this indoor formal presentation, we all go outdoors to view celestial objects in the night sky through a powerful hand-crafted telescope, such as the ice crystal rings of Saturn, craters on the Moon, etc., weather permitting, or if it is still daylight, then a solar filter (same one NASA uses) is used to view sunspots on the sun.
