Thank you to the Disability Justice League (Disability Network West Michigan) for recognizing our accessible entrances for all to utilize, and for presenting our Director and HPL with the beautifully painted "Advocacy Rocks!" award.
We strive for everyone to enjoy HPL to the fullest, and hope to provide resources for all!

Libraries Rock! Adult Summer Reading Program June 12 - August 24 Rock out and Read this summer at Hackley Public Library! HPL’s “Libraries Rock” Adult Summer Reading program has begun, and will run from June 12 through August 24. Sign up today at HPL, where you will receive a complimentary gift for signing up (complimentary gifts are limited)! For each library book you read or listen to, your name will be entered into a drawing to win a prize. The more books you read or listen to, the better chances you have for winning! Everyone who submits at least one entry will automatically be entered into the running for the Grand Prize, which includes four one-day tickets to the Michigan Irish Music Festival and more! We want to extend a huge Thank You to all of our sponsors, who help make our Summer Reading program possible. 'Left to Write' Creative Writing at HPL 3:30 - 4:30 PM, Wednesday, June 27 Do you enjoy creative writing? Are you inspired by innovative thoughts and ideas? Become a part of 'Left to Write', HPL’s own Creative Writing Group! Here you can share your own stories, participate in exercises, and meet other creative writers. This group will provide a low key atmosphere for writers of all experiences. Everyone is welcome, so feel free to tell your friends! Bring your own paper, and your favorite pen! Facilitated by Donna Iverson, this bi-monthly group will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, 3:30 to 4:30 PM. Event Calendar

Summer Matinee Movies at HPL 12:00-2:30pm Saturday, June 30 Looking for an afternoon of fun out of the hot sun this summer? Enjoy a matinee movie at Hackley Public Library! We will be featuring an exciting new film on the last Saturday of each month. The movie will begin at 12:00pm, and patrons are welcome to bring their own snacks or packed lunch to enjoy. Folksongs of the Great Lakes

We had a phenomenal performance last night at HPL from renowned autoharpist, Adam Miller! His talent for playing both autoharp and guitar were accompanied with the rich stories behind each of the songs. Singing folksongs and ballads of the Great Lakes brought plenty of entertainment for our well turned out crowd! Thank you to all who came out to enjoy this fabulous performance by Adam Miller!
