Happy TBT! Hackley & Hume Office

Who doesn't enjoy going to work with friends? Charles Hackley and Thomas Hume were not only business partners, but friends and neighbors!
Enjoy this #TBT of the Hackley and Hume office on Western Ave., between Second and Third streets. Sitting down is Charles Hackley, with Thomas Hume beside him. Against the counter is George Hume, a son of Thomas. According to the calendar on the center wall, the photo was taken on a Friday the 13th in June (most likely around 1900). On the right wall is a map of Muskegon. Note the furnishings, including a private telephone booth!

Thank you to HPL's Local History and Genealogy for finding this great information.
