Beloved Nobel Prize Winner passes away.

We are saddened to hear that Toni Morrison, Nobel Prize Winner and author of "Beloved," has passed away at 88 years old.

Toni Morrison, the first African American woman to win the Nobel Prize for Literature, is gone. But her unique voice – earthy, poetic, powerful, elliptical – endures in novels like "Beloved, "Song of Solomon," "Sula" and "The Bluest Eye." - USA Today Entertainment

What's Blooming?

You might want to take a stroll through our garden, where foliage is inviting and the frogs are readings. :) Enjoy some moments on the beautiful book bench as you take in sunshine on a day at Hackley Public Library.~

"Reading: Learning, Dreaming, Creating, Savoring, Inspiring and more."

Established through Fran Fisher and Family 2013, this unique book bench is accompanied by a plaque, enlightening the many gifts that reading can provide.


Everyone can enjoy a good story, including our HPL frogs!
