HPL OFF THE WALL ANNUAL WRITING AND DRAWING CONTEST MARCH 1 THROUGH MARCH 31 Spring is just around the corner and so is our annual writing and drawing contest.  Students in grades 7-12 are invited to submit any original, creative work.  This includes poems, stories, drawings, and comics!  Stop by the library for more information or check out our website.  The contest runs from March 1 to March 31.  All entries are due by 5:00 pm Saturday, March 31. Computer Class-Facebook 10:30 am, Saturday, March 3 De'ondra Pentecost will teach computer classes on Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Registration is required. GIRLS WHO CODE MARCH 5, MONDAY 5:30-6:30 Did you know Hackley Public Library has a coding club just for girls? We are an official host site for the international girls Who Code organization. The club is open to students grade 6 and up. In the club, girls will master the basics of coding like loops, variables, functions, and conditionals to name a few. We will meet every Monday evening through the end of May. Event Calendar

Hackley Craft Club 6:00 pm, Monday, March 5 Join the fun!  Our craft club meets the first Monday of each month. This month will be paper beads and quilling. Led by Nancy Hartman. Brought to you through the generosity of the Friends of Hackley Library. Event Calendar

Uneven Ground 6:00 pm, Tuesday, March 6 "Uneven Ground" is a four-piece traditional Celtic band that blends vocals with instrumentals to bring their listeners on a unique musical journey.  They play Celtic, Irish, English, Scottish music.  The members are Courtney Hutson, fiddle,vocals; Dave Closz, guitar,vocals; Tim Staudacher, mandolin,guitar; and Larry Halverson, whistle, flute.    Brought to you through the generosity of the Friends of Hackley Library. Genealogy/Family History Workshop 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, Saturday, March 10 Presented by the Muskegon County Genealogy Society. For anyone who is excited about researching their family history.
