That's what the American Academy of Dermatologists was trying to find out with its recent "Suntelligence" survey.Hartford, Salt Lake City and Denver ranked the highest, while Cleveland, Chicago and Pittsburgh ranked the lowest out of the 26 cities surveyed.
The poll asked more than 7,000 adults about their knowledge of tanning and sun protection. With summer right around the corner, it's important to remember to wear sunscreen when you're going to be spending time outdoors. Besides being extremely painful, sunburn could put you at increased risk for skin cancer.
