Book Review: This Book is Overdue

There have been a lot of books written about libraries in the last few years, some about the unique people who use the library, some about specific libraries, and some about the history of libraries.  This book is about the librarians.  Marilyn Johnson interviews librarians in many different libraries, both physical and virtual.  She writes about the traditional jobs librarians have done over the years, and the new responsibilities that have arisen with the growing popularity of the Internet.  Being a librarian, nothing in her book was new to me, but people who think librarians sit around reading books all day will be surprised by what we really do.  It is an interesting look into the back rooms of libraries.
