What's going on with the scaffolding?
The mortar between some of the stones has come loose, which lets water get into the library when there is wind and rain. They're replacing the mortar, a process called "tuck pointing."
How long will they be here?
Probably the rest of this week and all of next week.
Who's doing the work?
Grand River Building Restoration, the same historic restoration company that did the library's gutters a couple of years ago.
