Book reviews from participants July 23:
The Rancher's Bride by Tara Taylor Quinn: Excellent, good read.
Human Predator by Katherine Ramsland: This was not a stimulating book. It was very monotone, as if someone had taken the boring of Ben Stein's voice and placed it into these pages. I would skip it for sure, unless you are looking for something to put you to sleep in 30 seconds.
History of Ancient Egypt by George Rawlinson: I thought the book was interesting. It gave me a new look on Egypt.
Irish Thoroughbred by Nora Roberts: One of her first works. Always a good read.
Luring a Lady/Convincing Alex by Nora Roberts: Good series of her book. Reading all of this series.
Price of Loveand other stories by Peter Robinson: A collection of short fiction by the author.
Murder in Gray and White by Corinne Holt Sawyer: Two elderly women try to solve the murder of a much disliked resident of their retirement home. Interesting characters and narrativeis handled with a light touch.
Arms of Nemesis by Steven Saylor: A murder mystery set in ancient rome, involving the house of Crassus, Rome's richest citizen. Also playing a part is the slave rebellion led by Spartacus. Interesting throughout.
From Needles to Hook by Donna Scott: This book is a complete guide to converting knit patterns into crochet patterns.
To the last man by Jeff Shaara: A novel which brings to life the history of WWI, by portraying the thoughts and feelings of the major characters of the war (i. e. John Pershing) as well as some minor (such as an average infantry man.)
Kisser by Stuart Woods: A Stone Barrington page turner.
