Meet Chiquetta "Chi-Chi" Woods!

Miss Chiquetta "Chi-Chi" Woods will be sharing her singing talents with us during Hackley Public Library's Black History Month Gospel Kick-Off Event. 
Additionally, Jeremie Jake Harris will be performing during the event, and HPL will be sharing intriguing Black History throughout the evening.

The Steamy History of Love Letters!

 The notion of writing love letters has been around for ages! 

Wouldn't it be curious to know how the process has changed, or stayed the same, over time?


Join us at HPL for an in-person program on February 14 at 5:30pm, where Heather Love will share about the history of love letters from ancient times into modern times. 

Additionally, you'll get the chance to put together a love letter!

Black History Month is around the corner!


Black History Month kicks off on February 1 at Hackley Public Library!

This year we'll have an amazing music performance to begin the celebration, followed by a variety of programs for all to enjoy. 

Additional programs will include an ongoing Scavenger Hunt, a youth/teen Quilt Square Take and Make, a BHM Trivia Contest, an Open Mic Poetry Night, a Sweet Soul Food Dessert Contest, an Upcycled Poetry for Teens event, and a Black Hair Care Clinic!
