We enjoyed seeing adorably friendly reindeer at HPL this past Saturday (and the reindeer enjoyed tasty apples!).

These friendly creatures greeted visitors and made for a special holiday outing over the weekend. Thank you to everyone for coming out to enjoy meeting and petting these beautiful reindeer, as well as learning some interesting facts!

Holiday Piano Concert

We had a cheerful time earlier this month with a holiday piano concert from Michigan ragtime artist, Peter Bergin!

He played festive holiday tunes, and gave us a few ragtime numbers to really enjoy!

Thank you to all who came out for this performance, and we hope you are enjoying the holiday season!

Pictures can say 1,000 words! This photograph says so much more.

It's Throw-back-Thursday, but this photo represents two days ago in 1890! Hackley Public Library opened with much fanfare on October 16, 1890 at 8:30 am.
We are grateful for the patronage that has remained throughout our library's history - thank you for helping make HPL something special!

Happy Throw Back Thursday!

Do you remember the Occidental Hotel?

This photo shows a day in downtown Muskegon from the year 1922. Structures, cars, and clothing might have changed throughout time, but the love of Muskegon remains.
