Book reviews from participants July 22:

Mail Order Marriages by Debbie Macomber: Women sometime have to fight and not give up no matter what the other person says when you love someone.

Saving our last nerve: the black woman's path to mental health by Marilyn Martin: All women should read this book-it identifies what the specific problem is when all the strange things are happening to women. Sometime we know something need to be addressed but we don'tknow what. This is a book I will buy and keep close to me.

Thank you for firing me by Kitty Martini: This book is a boost if you need a new direction in life. It is strenghthening to see other move past certain misfortunes and lets you know you can too.

Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham: I couldn't not get to the end to see how his romances finally came to an end! I wanted to leave this but there were a few gems here and there of observances on Life which reminds me, why does he repeat his descriptions, word for word, of some characters? Did he think no one would read the whole thing? What did he say of this being in America toward the end of the book when the whole thing was in England? Typo, "cutter" instead of "butter." I really did like one phrase which I should have writtendown and now cannot find (or remember at the moment.) Some philosophical thought by poor Phillip as he matured.

Approval Addiction by Joyce Meyer: How to correct your unhealthy need for affirmation with the word of God. "Overcoming your need to please everyone."

Look Great Feel Great by Joyce Meyer: Twelve-key plan to overcoming poor eatingand lack of exercise habit. A guide to a healthier way of living.

G. Spot by Noire: About a guy who owned a club and his name started with G. and his club wasthe best place 2 hang out in. A learning lesson 2 a pretty young lady thats trying to support her family (siblings) inany way.

9th Judgment by James Patterson: I enjoy reading "The Women's Murder Club" books. They are very exciting and it is hard to put the books down.

Taming the Spirited Child by Michael Popkin: Great strategies to use with any child!

The short stories in this extraordinary collection -- with the exception of one -- were written after the close of World War I. Maugham shrewdly and brilliantly exploited the public taste of his time to put on display the changing morality of the century. An expert storyteller, he was also a master of fictional technique. His fiction offers a synthesis of pleasures in the form of realism, exoticism, shrewd and ironic observation, careful craftsmanship, and characterization. Among the stories included in Creatures of Circumstance are "The Colonel's Lady", "Flotsam and Jetsam", "Sanatorium", "Appearance and Reality", "The Point of Honour", "A Woman of Fifty", "The Man from Glasgow", and "The Kite". …More

But as Juicy's sexual cravings grow stronger, one thing becomes frighteningly clear: She's a virtual prisoner in G's dangerous world. As G begins to suspect her of playin' him, he pulls the reins he keeps on her even tighter.
