The Community Foundation for Muskegon County solicited “Love Note” ideas from the
community—now it is up to you to decide which ones get funded! Please vote for the project ideas you like by leaving a comment under the photos. The top 6 vote-getters will receive funding – up to $500 – to implement their projects!
Here are the rules:
1. This is a contest based on LOVING our community…keep that spirit in mind!
2. To vote, leave a comment below the picture of the project(s) you like. All comments count – even if they’re negative – so as your mother said, “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” And re-read Rule #1.
3. One vote per project per facebook user…but you may vote for as many of the projects as you’d like! Double-voting for any particular project disqualifies you and all your votes, so please don’t do it.
4. This is important, so we’re saying it again: you can vote for as many project ideas as you’d like, but only ONE VOTE per project!
5. Votes must be cast between noon on August 8 and midnight on
August 19 to be counted. The six winning projects will be announced by August 26.
And finally, some fine print:
1. Foundation and Frauenthal employees are not eligible to vote. They are, however, encouraged to get their friends and family to vote!
2. Winning applicants will need to provide a more detailed project description and a budget before grant dollars are disbursed.
3. As with all of our grants, decisions are subject to Foundation Board of Trustees.
The Friends of Hackley Public Library have a project: Literary Landmark—Friends of the Hackley Public Library:
Caldecott Award-winning author Verna Aardema called Hackley Library “home.” This earned the library the distinction of becoming a Literary Landmark (there are only 7 in the state!) . This love note will fund a celebration—and plaque dedication—in Honor of the library’s achievement.
Login to Facebook, go to the Community Foundation for Muskegon County's page: https://www.facebook.com/cffmc, find our project and vote!
