STAFF PICKS

Being Brave on Halloween

Along with the fun of Halloween costumes and candy, the holiday can also be a scary event for some young participants. Helping children learn the ins and outs of trick-or-treating, Susan Hood's new picture book Just Say Boo! presents various scary scenarios and offers a solution: Just say "boo!" With Jed Henry's colorful illustrations of young children shaking in their costumes and then bravely shouting "boo," this book will arm kids with plenty of ammo to fight off the Halloween spooks.
