Upcoming Events at Hackley Public Library

Fall at Hackley Public Library!

Book related events will take over the Hackley Public Library this fall.

Best selling author Mitch Albom will be on stage at the Frauenthal at 7:30 pm on October 4. The Detroit Free Press sports columnist and author of the best seller Tuesdays with Morrie will be talking about his new book, Have a Little Faith at this fundraiser for the Children's department sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

A book fair at Barnes and Noble will be held October 1 and 2. Purchase a book or a Nook or a even a cup of coffee on those two days and a percentage of what you pay will go to the Friends of the Library for the Children̢۪s Department. Bring a voucher -- see elsewhere in this newsletter -- or just tell the clerk you support Hackley Library.

During the whole month of October, youth can enter Write for Fright!, HPL’s annual scary story contest. Bring your stories and poems to the Library by October 31. The scariest tales will be printed in our Write for Fright! book. Winners are honored at an Author’s Night Award Program November 17.
