Pandora's Locks

Jeff Alexander, formerly a Muskegon Chronicle writer, will be on hand to talk about his book “Pandora’s Locks”, which discusses how the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway allowed many invasive species to take up residence in the Great Lakes and bordering waters.

Computer Class--Intro to Word Processing

Introduction to Word Processing will cover basic Word Processing skills and is designed for people who have some experience using a mouse.  Class size is limited.  Please call ahead to register:  (231-722-7276).  Registration opens on February 1.  The class will be held at Hackley Public Library.

La'Ron Williams, Storyteller

Djembe drums, mbira music, and spontaneous song accompany La'Ron's tales from African and African American traditions.  His dramatic skills and audience rapport have made him one of the Midwest's top storytellers.  Says La'Ron, "I always sing.  I always wear traditional African dress.  And I always have a good time."

Mini Class on Facebook
