STAFF PICKS for October

Facebook on the Big Screen Think you know the story behind the social networking phenomenon, Facebook? Think again. Buzz has been building for The Social Network, the film adaptation of Ben Mezrich's bestseller, The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, which told the juicy (and unauthorized) story of Mark Zuckerberg, the nerdy Harvard student who would become the voice of his generation. With a powerhouse writer/director duo--Aaron Sorkin of “The West Wing” fame and David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club)--the film has garnered rave advance reviews. You can check out The Social Network in theaters starting October 1, but don't forget to read the book behind the film, too.
