Common Cause Launching MI Ethics Website:
MIRS notes that the liberal group Common Cause Michigan is set Thursday to launch a new website on tracking corporate money in elections.


The site is http://www.RightToKnowMichigan.org/ . Common Cause Michigan Executive Director Melanie McElroy noted Gov. Rick Snyder in his State of the State address talked about the need for campaign finance and ethics reform, but so far no action has been taken.


Citizens United unleashed a new era of corporate money flowing into our political system," McElroy said of the 2010 U.S. Supreme Court case. "It is critical that our election laws are changed to promote full disclosure and accountability."
