Hackley Lecture in the Humanities 7:30 pm, Thursday, May 12 The 2016 Hackley Lecture in the Humanities will be Andrew Kaufman, North Muskegon HS graudate and a Tolstory/Russian studies scholar from the University of Virginia.  His topic is "Give War and Peace a Chance:  Tolstoyan Wisdom for Troubled Times". The lecture will be held Thursday, May 12 at 7:30 pm at the Muskegon Museum of Art.  A reception at Hackley Public Library will follow.  The lecture is sponsored by the Friends of Hackley Public Library. Here's part of the blurb:  "Times are tough, anxiety and fear are pervasive, and people are searching for answers to questions big and small.  The country is at war, change is in the air, and the future remains uncertain...Welcome to the world of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace."

LEGO FAMILY FUN DAY 2:00 PM, SATURDAY, May 21 Building with LEGOs is so much fun. Build something spectacular and display it in the library for everyone to see. Fun and creative expression for the whole family.
